First Timer?
Nervous about your first reformer or hot mat class? Your first class is exciting but we understand you may have a lot of unanswered questions.
Take a look at guides below and our FAQ's to make your first class as familiar as possible. Don't worry, our instructors are there on the day to guide and help you.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose clothing that is comfortable to move around in. Leggings, a sports bra and fitted tops are great choices as they allow us to see your form and offer appropriate modifications and adjustments that will greatly benefit you.
For reformer classes we require grip socks for safety, these are available to purchase in studio if you don't already have some.
Arrive 5-10 Minutes
Early
Arriving 5-10 minutes early will allow you time to get settled, meet your instructor and go over and questions if you have any. It is also valuable time to be able to tell your instructor about any health conditions or injuries you may have.
Please remember that we run a strict 5 minute late policy as per our T&C's.
If you arrive 5 minutes after the class start time you will not be allowed in.
Keep an open
Mind
Pilates is all about slow, controlled movements and may feel different if you are used to other forms of exercise. Embrace the slower burn, trust your instructor on the spring choices they give you and focus on mind to muscle connection. It can feel a little confusing at first, especially since we work on a lot of co-ordination, but trust the process and be patient with yourself!
